About Chris
Pianist and Composer trained in both classical and contemporary styles. I have worked as a session musician in weddings, cruise ships, theatres, and with many artists and bands. Most recently I worked as a bandleader onboard P&O ships, working with acts including Joe Mcelderry and Gareth Gates.
I also write music in a variety of genres, specialising in piano, orchestral, and lo-fi Hip Hop. My music has been featured on spotify editorial playlists and on TV shows such as The One Show and American Greed.

Lesson Aims:
Big focus on developing your ear. This is somehow underrated in music education but crucial for professional musicians.
Improving technique and sightreading by playing a large volume of music. This is a better approach than repeating the same passage over and over.
The focus will be different depending on each student and their goals, the music they like, strengths and weaknesses.

I met Chris onboard a carnival cruise ship a year ago, we were both cruise ship musicians. I was immediately taken with his musicianship upon seeing/hearing him play with the onboard rock/pop band. We got to know each other and put together various musical projects, such as performing a live jazz set together, recording an album together, etc. He is a monster keyboard player, and a very skilled singer, arranger, recording producer, trumpet player, etc. I have learned tons from Chris.
