About Cecilia
I am a qualified English language teacher with 30 years of experience in classroom teaching in higher education, secondary schools and in private tutoring. I enjoy teaching and adapt my materials and methodology to meet the learners` needs and interests. I believe that it is important to motivate learners and to help them to become creative, analytical and independent. I am an English GCSE examiner for 3 different boards and have an excellent track record of helping students improve on their expected grades in both Language and Literature. I am also a fluent and accurate speaker of Italian, having lived and worked in Italy for a number of years.
I have taught most aspects of the English language e.g. grammar, vocabulary, writing, text analysis, pronunciation, to students at universities in the UK and Italy. I have considerable experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages of all ages and in preparing students for IELTS and Cambridge English exams.

I give English lessons online. I use Zoom or Skype or Teams as you prefer, and for writing and annotating texts I use Google Drive - very useful for working simultaneously on a document. I mark any written work submitted in time before lessons so that we can focus on the feedback and teaching during the lesson.
