Carolina Garcia .Qualified Spanish Teacher

Hola! I'm from Madrid, the “heart of Spain” although I was born in Barcelona.

I am a professional Spanish teacher with wide proved experience. I have been teaching
Spanish for more than 15 years to all different levels and the preparation for DELE exam.I have a degree in English Studies specialized in Language and Literature and I have PGCE (CAP Certificate). These skills help me to share my knowledge to the students.

I have had a wide range of students, from children aged 6 years ( in schools, in Spain and
in UK) to adults of different social and economic condition ( in Spain and UK). Giving
classes from one to one to groups and business Spanish classes as well. This experience
has provided me with broad-ranging skills. I make use of it by empathising with students, observing and listening to them. I focus on their needs.

I have the ability to achieve good class environment and to plan and organise work, very
keen on continuing learning and keeping updated with the teaching process. I use all kind of materials, including IT to do the lessons dynamic and entertaining.

After having been teaching these years, I have acquired good class managament skills. I
am specialist in resolving Spanish language issues, teaching based on communicative
approach. I ensure that students are able to use the grammar that they have learnt in correct sentences creating dialogues for the real life.

I consider myself a reliable, responsible and enthusiastic person.

I really enjoy sharing my knowledge of the language with people from all over the world and I hope you will enjoy my lessons.

Bishopsgate Institute

To whom it may concern,

Carolina Garcia has worked for Bishopsgate Institute as a self-employed Spanish tutor since January 2015. Her role consists of preparing and delivering Spanish language classes to adult students, as well as carrying out administrative tasks relating to these classes (keeping attendance registers, distributing students’ personal learning plans and student evaluation forms).

Bishopsgate Institute issues contracts to all its tutors based on the hours they are required to teach in the coming term. Carolina is regularly contracted to teach two evening classes (of two hours each) a week per term, with each term usually running for 10 weeks.

We are only able to run courses if we recruit sufficient numbers to make a course financially viable. Therefore Carolina may have taught fewer hours than contracted for in any given term, as a consequence of course cancellations.

Please do get in touch if you require further information.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Simon Vickery | Learning Programme Coordinator

Carolina Garcia

I have been taking Spanish Lessons with Carolina since June 2016 and have been delighted with the progress that I have made, especially with my reading ability. I am now able to apply this in a work environment. Carolina takes an extremely structured approach but also makes learning the language enjoyable and is excellent at helping me understand some of the more difficult aspects when I hit a wall.

Spanish Teacher

Carolina taught me Spanish for about 9 months in 2017, before I chose to stop the lessons due to work constraints. Carolina was a fantastic teacher - she was attentive, encouraging, and obviously very confident and experienced in delivering well-thought out lesson plans that suited my learning style. If I chose to take-up lessons again I would not hesitate to have her as my teacher.

Excellent Spanish teacher

Carolina has been teaching me Spanish weekly for about a year, initially as part of a group and now on a one-to-one basis. A lot of material is covered iduring our lessons, and lessons are conscientiously planned and well structured.

In group teaching, she would use a variety of methods, particularly interactive methods, to facilitate learning.

Since teaching me on a one-to-one basis, lessons are planned based on prior learning and tailored to my particular needs. Homework is also set.

Carolina Garcia

Carolina taught me Spanish one on one over the course of ten weeks. I found Carolina to be a very punctual, patient and excellent teacher who also injected some fun into our classes with her friendly nature. Her grasp of both languages is excellent, she fielded my off the wall questions very well & was able to relate her teaching back to the business reasons I was studying for.

Carolina successfully improved my language skills & I only stopped the lessons as work became too busy for me to continue with them further

Reliable, skilled and methodical Spanish teacher

Carolina has been teaching me for almost 3 years now. She has a very methodical approach that works very well for adult professionals, can identify the student's strengths and weaknesses and find what works best as an approach for each individual. She is patient, easygoing and friendly, while she has a unique talent in explaining the subject by focusing on the individual's background and abilities. After learning 3 languages by multiple different teachers throughout the years, I recognise these are attributes that constitute a good teacher and are not easy to find.
