About Briony
Hello! I'm Briony, a graduate from the University of Bristol. I am a friendly professional individual available for part-time tutoring. With previous experience in GCSE French tutoring, I am enthusiastic to help all ability children at any school levels better their studies and confidence.
I pride myself on time management and maintaining an approachable manner. I strive to make my students feel respected and appreciated, and hope to encourage them to enjoy the learning process.
My method is to use popular culture exercises to complement the school curriculum, for example a reading exercise based on The Simpsons about free time/leisure. I have found this helps memory recall of vocabulary as well as injecting a bit of fun into the tutoring process.
There is nothing more rewarding than nurturing a child through their French studies. One of my proudest moments was when a GCSE tutee of mine gained a level B when she was predicted a C and previously was averaging around a D level. You couldn't imagine the feeling!
