About Bimba
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in maths, Post graduate diploma in Education as well as a Master’s degree. Furthermore, I trained as a secondary maths teacher and hold a PGCE.
I have over 20 years of experience in tutoring and lecturing maths up to undergraduate level with excellent results.
I plan my lessons and set homework carefully and try my best to tailor them to develop pupils’ individual abilities. I assess my students regularly and provide feedback to parents about pupils’ progress after each lesson.
Currently I offer tuition online and in-person from year 5 to GCSE/IGCSE level. I have a patient and caring approach. I enjoy teaching and my aim is to help pupils make excellent progress and become confident.
Over the past 20 years I have helped students with different ability levels including high achievers to attain results exceeding their age group expectations as well as students with special educational needs to achieve their full potential.

Bimba has been teaching maths to my 15-year-old daughter for nearly 4 years now. We are very pleased as during that period she has improved enormously and gone from a set 2 student to a set 1 high achiever. Bimba has a very patient and caring approach to teaching and an aptitude for explaining complex topics clearly. By setting homework after every lesson she makes sure my daughter understands the concepts very well. She keeps us informed regarding my daughter’s progress regularly. She is a driven, organised teacher who has developed an inspiring relationship with my daughter. Bimba is a very dedicated teacher and will happily spend extra time to assist her in understanding any particularly difficult subject matters. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject has helped her to feel more confident and interested in maths.
