About Betty
Professionally, I've volunteered to teach Visual Arts in a primary, middle and high school while I was still studying for my IB Diploma. I have been able to guide the students into a highly concentrated and effective lesson, directing their creativity and discussing current issues. Encouraging and teaching students to come up with their own opinions and expressing them thoughtfully in many different mediums. This includes water paint, acrylic painting, oil painting, different kinds of clay. My teaching style drives students to be more extroverted and communicative. Each opinion matters in the bigger picture of learning.
Personally, I'm an artist and I'm currently studying at Goldsmiths University of London. I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada until middle school and moved to Hong Kong for a few years, and finally, to Shanghai, China where I completed my IB Diploma. I can speak Mandarin, Shanghainese, Cantonese, and English.
