About Bernard
Hi, I am an active member in the music industry as both a composer, conductor and pianist. I have been learning the piano since the age of 6 and attended the London Collage of Music for both my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. As educators of the piano, I believe our role is to create an environment that is both fun and engaging, allowing our student to boost self confidence and gain an appreciation for various cultures through the classical idiom. Although the written note and music theory typically takes precedence while learning the piano, improvisation and self expression should not be overlooked, as not only does it help with the training of the inner ear and improves a child’s musicology, but could be seen as fundamental in becoming both comfortable in the instrument and to increase motivation for the long term. Classical and popular music has always been an important part of our society, and teaching gives me the opportunity to educate and inspire student in the industry that I have came to love.
