About Benjie
I come from a bilingual household. I believe in practice, exposure, and immersion for the optimal learning experience at any age. Especially when it comes to language, theory is only part of the foundation. Being able to communicate is most essential from person to person. I believe learning a new language is not just the expansion of the mind, but the expansion of human connection to gain a greater understanding of the world around us.
I grew up in a British/Paraguayan household in South America while attending a private American school. After graduating I moved to the U.S. to study Film & Theatre after which I moved back to London to pursue a career in filmmaking.
Identity has been a very important subject in my life, to be able to carry that strong sense of belonging. As your mind expands you'll find that you are able to make any place a home and that language is nothing but a barrier to be jumped over with time, patience, and practice.
