About Ben
Qualified, friendly and experienced statistics and mathematics tutor; I have a vast experience of teaching at University level, and have lectured for more than ten years at Russell Group Universities.
I like to teach A level maths courses, and specialise in helping good students do even better.
I mainly teach at degree level. I am happy to teach statistics courses, both theoretical and applied, at all undergraduate and masters levels, as well as a wide variety of degree level mathematics courses.
As well as mathematics and statistics courses, I have have worked with Business Studies and MBA students, a wide variety of engineers and scientists, and computer scientists.
I teach the R statistical programming language as well, and am happy to work with students in learning this or particular parts of data analysis.
My teaching philosophy is to give you the tools you need to reach your goals; I am happy to meet in person in the West London or Central London area, although many students prefer online tuition. I try to make my tutoring sessions informal and informative, and have tutored hundreds of students over the years at all levels. I have an undergraduate maths degree from Cambridge, and a Masters and PhD from the University of London. I have a formal teaching qualification (I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) and am a member of the Royal Statistical Society.

Perfect! Statistics tutor
Ben is an excellent tutor!
I'm a mature student studying an O.U. degree in Mathematical Science and Economics and I was struggling with the statistics module. After two lessons with Ben my confidence has sky rocketed.
Ben is very friendly and helped me relax into the lesson. He knows is subject incredibly well which means he can adapt quickly as each lesson unfolds.
