About Atticus
My name is Atticus Hood, I am a 24 year old trainee Primary School teacher and I am happy to help anyone with their homework of spend some extra time on school work that is causing trouble.
I have a degree in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh and I am 75% of the way through my PGCE qualification.
I currently have a year 5 class, but have had experience in Year 2 and Year 4 as well. I am happy to work with children at any key stage.
I also have experience working with children with learning difficulties and on the spectrum, also those who simply have a difficult time understanding fundamental principles, so I have plenty of empathy for children who really cannot get concepts. My sister has always struggled with maths on the most fundamental levels so I can understand the frustrations involved.
