About Arran
My name is Arran Hope,
I am currently Studying Chinese at the University of Cambridge whilst also playing in the Cambridge University Music Society Symphony Orchestra. Other than my love for languages i have always had a passion for music. I have been playing musical instruments from a young age and i understand the struggles that can be faced at all difficulty levels. I have completed grade 8 in the piano and violin as well as receiving a diploma in the viola. Between 2014 and 2016 I was also a string leader in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and before that spent four years as part of the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain. I can teach in all styles including classical, jazz and also aid in the skill of improvisation. I am also willing to teach music theory especially for those wanting to move past grade 5. I am happy to teach all ages and all levels in both mandarin and music and also able to tutor in Cambridge as well as London. Please feel free to contact me.
