About Anna
I would like to inspire and to motivate pupils/students in learning of foreign languages. Languages open the door to exciting opportunities in life and providing children with language skills at an age when they are most receptive to absorbing. I’m speaking four languages and I believe that to be able, to speak another language it gives you the opportunity to learn more about another culture, another mentality. Because of my own experience I can realize the difficulties of learning another language, therefore I know how to teach a language efficiently.
When I started teaching I was working in a Montessori school with young pupils, I used alternative teaching methods like singing German songs and teaching German poems. During the years I tough German lessons for students across all age range. From the previous academic year I’m working in a private school with A-Level students from different specifications like Edexcel, AQA ect. I learned a lot about how to plan high quality lessons. I realized at the end of every year that students made big improvement in their language skills. They were able to speak in sentences with correct grammar.
During my lessons I was including didactics, group and pair work, interactive games use of text books, work sheets, CD’s and Power Point presentations. Every student has different abilities so I try to use as much material and methods as I can. They have to learn how to work individually and how to work in a team. We have to pay attention for all types of learners. For Visual learners I have to use demonstrations and visually materials, for Auditory learners I have to focus of an organized conversation. By read-write learners it’s important to use key words in list form and by Kinesthetic learners I have to include demonstration and case examples to be discussed and solved. In the same time I believe it is important to make learning interesting and creative.
