About Andy
Since I began teaching, over 25 years ago, I have taught at all levels from H.E. to Primary. I have been a Senior Examiner and Coursework Moderator for nearly 15 years. I also co-authored the AQA English Language & Literature B A2: Students Book for Oxford Press. All my lessons are carried out within a relaxed atmosphere and are, whenever possible, fun. However, I will always tailor my teaching style to the requirements of the student. The key to teaching is to build confidence and my greatest strength is my ability to engender a belief in my pupils' abilities. The development of confidence is a vital element in learning and I always ensure that my pupils have a greater belief in their abilities by the end of each lesson.Although my speciality is English, I am equally as happy teaching Maths to GCSE level, 11+ or EFL. I have a great deal of experience preparing foreign students online for public school entry and have been teaching students face to face for many years.
