About Andrew
I have been a teacher/lecturer in Physics, Maths and Electronic Engineering for many years. As shown below I have experience in the delivery of Physics GCSE and A/L and delivering lectures in areas of Physics and Electronics and Physics for Engineering at pre-degree and degree level. My experience spans classroom teacher, through to head of Physics and Senior Lecturer in charge of MSc programmes.
My teaching style is friendly, but requiring completion of homework exercises. Each session will be accompanied by notes and time for questions and answers. A one-to-one session during a tutorial can be more like a discussion rather than a formal lesson in front of a white-board and the student is encouraged to participate. In some sessions e.g. electronics, it may be possible to lay on some experimental work.
The object of tutorials is to enhance the understanding of the subject matter, not just for passing an examination, though that is the main objective, but also to develop a deeper interest in the subject and seeing how it interfaces to the world we live in.

I have know Dr Andrew Chanerley as a colleague and Senior Lecturer at the University of East London whilst acting as a Program Leader for the flagship programme of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He delivered courses on circuit Analysis (Level 4), and Digital Signal processing.(Level 6). He also acted as a supervisor and assessor for final year projects of the said degree programme. In addition he delivered courses at Masters level on Digital Signal Processing.
Dr Chanerley is highly knowledgeable in his subject area and he has a positive and friendly towards the students to enhance their learning experience.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Chanerley as a tutor on Electrical & Electronic Engineering subjects at Level 4,5 and 6 and I am more than positive that he will assist the students in enhancing their knowledge and grades.View more recommendations
