I grew up with early computers such as the ZX Spectrum, and was writing simple programs from the age of five. Thirty years on, I now have 13 years experience working as a programmer in the videogames industry. I've worked on games that have sold millions, including Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, Kinectimals and Kinect Disneyland Adventures.
I am available to teach a range of computer science and programming topics including GCSE, A-Level and degree-level Computer Science, general purpose programming skills, videogame and app development.

Perfect! Andrew is absolutely brilliant. Helped with the Computer Science A level project, and coding in particular (was difficult to find a tutor with good level of coding knowledge). Andrew has been always available, prompt to respond and even came for extra clarifications/debugging when I was stuck. Tank you for all your support!
Perfect! Andrew did an excellent job in supporting me with my time sensitive learning needs. Because of his support, I was successful in accessing the next levels of my learning process with C# and Unity. Thanks!
Perfect! We had an initial exploratory session. Andrew was very methodical and careful to analyse the issue before suggesting any radical changes. Has gone away to consider solutions and we look forward to discussing these in our next session.
Perfect! Andrew understood my needs and current skill level very well and tailored the lesson appropriately. I learnt a lot and, most importantly, left feeling very inspired about my game project. I look forward to continuing lessons with Andrew!
Perfect! Excellent! helped me understand pointers as well as how to break down my problems better.
Perfect! Asked Andrew to give me a hand with some C# for a personal project - less of a tutor and more of a mentor situation. He provided great, actional feedback along with a bunch of resources that have noticeably improved my code!
Perfect! Great to have a tutor who has the passion about what they do!
Perfect! Amazing tutor, quick thinking, efficient and gets straight to the point when he’s explaining concepts to me. Also a really nice person to talk to, would definitely recommend to my computer science friends!
Perfect! Great tutor!
Andrew is a great tutor for coding and computing-
My son aged 12 who is a very advanced coder (equivalent to A level) has been learning coding with Andrew for a long while now. He had several other tutors before for coding over the years so I have a base to compare.
My son is super happy and excited about his lessons, and always looks forward to the next one. we can see that he progresses and learns new techniques and concepts.
Andrew has patience to let my son run wild with his own ideas to projects and games, and at the same time finds the way to turn it into learning without my son feeling it is ‘like school’’ .
We haven’t tried ‘traditional’ teaching such as GCSE computer science, but I have a feeling this would work well too.
Subject : Computer programming
Outcome : Very PositivePerfect! Great and helpful tutor
Great experience, Andrew helped me to understand and finish my assignment. He has not only necessary knowledge, but also a talent to teach.
Subject : Computer programming
Outcome : Well passed assignment.Perfect! Excellent tutor
When my son started with Andrew he was struggling with the subject. He hated the subject and we believed it would be difficult for him to pass his GCSE computer science. Andrew is extremely patient and has a lot of experience in dealing with children who are struggling. My son looked forward to his lessons with Andrew and his difficulties vanished. He achieved well in his GCSE computer science and felt confident enough to want to carry on with the subject for his A levels. I highly recommend Andrew as a tutor. You will not be disappointed.

Andrew has taught my son over the last year. He is very diligent in his teaching methods, addresses any misunderstandings in the lessons immediately and always clearly explains the subject matter . He is very organised , punctual and committed.
His teaching has been very beneficial as my son’s grades improved significantly over the course of the year.Would definitely recommend him !Andrew is an excellent tutor. I have made huge progress since starting work with Andrew last year. It seems like a different life! When we started, I was teaching Latin and French in Croydon. Now thanks to Andrew's help, I am now working as a Front-End Web Developer in Brighton at a well-known web development company. I am absolutely thrilled with the work we have done which started with bash commands and the terminal, then developing ruby and Object Oriented Design, JavaScript, CSS and problem solving. I would certainly recommend Andrew as an excellent tutor who enables outstanding progress and success for his students.
Dante learned a lot from Andrew about Computer Science. He felt that Andrew was very patient and supportive and guided him through the various A-level topics for this subject. He furthermore provided exercises for Dante to complete during the lesson and discussed their outcome which was really beneficial.
