About Aliyah

Maths tutor (all London areas)

Hi,
I am a mobile maths tutor willing to travel to any area in east or north London for regular maths tutoring. I am friendly, easy going and can teach in a particular style to ensure that my student fully understands what I am teaching. I understand how frustating it is to be taught by someone who is too complex in their teaching and who is unable to break things down which is why I ensure that I adapt a students way of thinking whilst teaching to ensure that they have the chance to understand and succeed. I have a lot of experience with teaching. I have tutored several family members and friends as well as tutoring gcse maths students at Kingsford Community School in east London last year. I truly believe that anything is achievable with determination, motivation and the right tutor for you!
Thank you for your time.
Hourly rate: £15.00

One of the main reason why i chose Aliyah to tutor me whilst i was going through my Maths GCSE was because she is an easy-going tutor who can drill in to you the simple solution of something like a double bracket equation. She is a friendly approachable person who will make you feel at ease as soon as you meet her. Our hours of tuition never became a bore because of her versatile approach to tutoring. She is fantastic!

Aliyah tutored me during the last year of my GCSEs in 2016. I was in the lowest set for maths at my school and was not expected to reach above a C or B grade. However with Aliyah's help, I achieved an A grade, 3 marks below an A* in the final exam. She helped me do practise papers, taught me key equations and theories in the syllabus, and pushed me to practise harder and harder questions. I saw myself improve in a very short time from getting C grades on timed practised papers in class to achieving A grades consistently until the final exam.
