About Alishba
My name is Alishba, I have a background in Biomedical sciences and medicine. I have worked in various roles in the education sector throughout the years including teaching, 1-on-1 support, group support, etc.
Tutoring has combined my passions for science and education, allowing me to help many students when they feel like they have hit a plateau.
I have accumulated a range of resources and techniques over time and as someone who knows the struggle of being a student myself, I like to step in and offer support so the student can reach their highest potential!

A typical lesson is contrived of an hour of content followed by half an hour of exam questions. My approach to tutoring is very interactive and encourages the student to develop a deep understanding of concepts and apply them with ease.
I have been tutoring for almost 6 years and worked as a science teacher as well. This has allowed me to develop a set of skills to work together with my students, allowing some of my students to achieve 7s and above in their GCSEs, sometimes moving up 3 grades in one academic year.
I also have a thorough understanding of the content as someone with a background in biomedical sciences. I am therefore able to use various methods and techniques to enable the best learning experience for my students.
