About Alice

Experienced Tutor in English, Politics, History and Drama

I am a highly experienced English, History, Politics and Drama tutor based in Fulham, London but happy to travel elsewhere. I have had regular students of all ages for the last six years - ranging from ages 5 to 45!

My special focus is essay writing- I believe that proper structuring, analysis and writing techniques will aid all study, no matter the subject. I have a proven track record in quickly improving grades and restoring confidence! I also have been nicknamed the 'Revision Doctor' for helping my students revise efficiently and properly.

I have a Double First-Class degree in English Literature from Trinity College, Dublin and a Minor in English and Drama from the University of California, Berkeley. I am also a professional actress and spent two years training at the Bristol Old Vic Theater School. At GCSE I was in the top-ten UK candidates for Politics and History, I was the Senior Drama Scholar at Woldingham School and won an Exhibition Award to study at Trinity College.

Alice has been a great help to my daughter who is currently studying A level English Literature. Alice has raised my daughters confidence by organising structured study sessions on a variety of texts. This has been in preparation for her A level English Literature Edexcel Drama and Prose examinations this summer. They have had some lively discussions about these texts, worked on the key themes, essay structure and revision techniques. Alice has been encouraging and amazingly supportive of my daughter.
