About Alexandra
I hold a masters in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and I completed the highly competitive graduate scheme `Teach First`. I am a fully qualified teacher with lots of experience in teaching Science up to A-level across all main exam boards (AQA, OCR & Edexcel).
I am able to tutor Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry up to GCSE level and Chemistry A Level.
I have a strong pedagogical understanding which is integral to my practice and enables my students to make `Outstanding` progress. It is important to note that I place great emphasis on equipping students with exam strategies and also provide exam materials that are relevant to the syllabus being taught. I also integrate strong contextual elements into my sessions which engages students and allows them to realise the real life applications of what is being taught. I continue to develop my pedagogical understanding and aim to maximize each and every students` outcomes by understanding, and catering for their individual needs.
For seven years, I have offered private tuition in Maths and Science GCSE and Chemistry A Level. I have tutored 10 pupils privately over the past year. I have also worked in a school as part of a Science intervention team tutoring pupils struggling at GCSE.
