Singer-songwriter, pianist, composer, loop artist, poet and blogger, Alessia was born and raised in Rome and she moved to London 3 years ago.
As a self-taught musician Alessia started singing very young and she had the chance to sing professionally from the very beginning.
She’s got grade 4 Jazz piano and she’s able to play to a professional level.
She’s currently focused on her new project "Me, MyLoopStation & I”.
It’s a “vocal only” solo project and the set up is a microphone and loop station only.
It has been well received by the audience in London and her live music videos have gained popularity on the web.
After her first solo album PG Major 7 was released in 2001 she had the opportunity of opening up for the american “Neo Soul Poet” Ursula Rucker.
She wrote and arranged all the songs to her second album Synth o matic, that came out at the beginning of 2015, where she sings and plays piano.
There are important featurings on the album such as the jazz trumpet player Aldo Bassi and the legendary "Nu Soul Pioneer" Jaguar Wright, who started the Nu Soul movement and collaborated, between the others, with Jay Z and The Roots.
As soon as her album was released she had the honor of opening up for the singer-pianist Frank McComb at Jazz Cafè in London.
Synth o matic was well received by british radios (Jazz FM, Solar radio...) and music shops (Soul Brothers) and she obtained several nice reviews in music magazines as well (such as Echoes).
Her music is a blend of Jazz, Nu Soul, Hip hop, Blues and Spoken word.
More recently (summer 2016) she had the chance to work as singer\intepreter of Tino Seghal's art at the Tate Gallery of London.
She’s been teaching for more than 10 years: she’s been a vocal teacher in schools and privately, giving individual classes and running workshops in Italy and in UK.
She’s currently running a choir at Solace Women’s Aid, a charity providing life-saving support to women and children survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
