As a recent graduate specialising in International Relations (BA, Uni of Leicester) and Development Economics (MSc, SOAS), I have over two years’ experience tutoring Economics and English Literature.
Whilst studying for my masters, I creatively hand-crafted and presented over 14 hours of A-Level Economics lessons per week (OCR, AQA & Edexcel). This enhanced my exposure to PowerPoint, Word and other interactive software’s which helped to develop my students’ capabilities. I also helped coordinate a cultural enrichment trip to Shanghai (China) by organising travel visa’s, flight and accommodation bookings, and the creation of risk assessments. As well as developing my capacity for leadership and project management, all my students achieved the grades required to pursue courses at their desired universities. Ultimately, I am no stranger to taking on challenges and multi-tasking to effectively meet tight deadlines.
As well as my experience of tutoring economics, in the 2014 academic year, I taught English GCSE for 18 hours a week in a classroom format (part-time). This allowed me to engage with students across different examining boards, where I tailored my teaching to their specific needs.
Beyond my direct tutoring experience, I have engaged in a range of governmental and non-governmental organisations who target the improvement of economic welfare. Spanning from my campaigning for Oxfam, to advising the Government of Somalia, I enjoy communicating complex theories and implementing them in practice.
All in all, I would relish the opportunity to support your journey towards academic excellence. Feel free to contact me for booking information by sending a message.
