About Joanie
I have been teaching, tutoring and homeschooling general science, chemistry, physics, biology and geology since 2007. I am a GCSE examiner (since 2014) and therefore have great insight into exam techniques, prescribed practical requirements, maths in science and command words. I bring these important components into all my tutoring, and thus exam coach would be a more apt description of my services.
My approach to tutoring is to first find out what my tutee is looking to gain, so we have clear goals to work towards. Together, we will discover what works best for you.
With online tutoring, I use the safe platform Bramble which records the session so you can review it again and again at your leisure. It has a fantastic search function which will take you to the exact place in a session - great for revision.
I am now taking bookings for the 2023-24 exam season to begin tutoring in August/September 2023. I am available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - but I get booked up quickly, so do not delay. Please note I now only tutor AQA science subjects.
