Following the success of our recent sold out half term course, top English tutor, Sam R, will be running a GCSE poetry course on Power and Conflict.
The sessions will run over a 10 week period:

Session 1.3 - Conflict & The City (‘London’ & ’The Émigrée’)
Session 1.4 - Conflict, Control & Storytelling (‘My Last Duchess’ & ‘Checking Out Me History’)
Session 1.5 - Conflict & Identity (‘Kamikaze’ & ‘Checking Out Me History’)
Session 2.1 - Naturalism: the Power of the Natural World (’Storm on the Island’ & ‘Exposure’)
Session 2.2 - Depictions of WW1 (‘Exposure’ & ‘Bayonet Charge’)
Session 2.3 - Memory & Conflict (‘Poppies’ & ‘Remains’)
Session 2.4 - Elegy & Celebration (‘Poppies’ & ’The Charge of the Light Brigade’)
Session 2.5 - Conflict & Narrative (‘War Photographer’ & ’Tissue’)
