Studio Hide Installation
August 04, 2016
Where does our water come from before we turn on the tap? I decided to investigate and explore this matter. My tap water flows from Walthamstow Wetlands, which became my outdoor art studio and exploration laboratory since September 2015. I have been studying the place for nearly a year now. Each time I go there, I learn and discover something new. I began a self-initiated art and research residency in Walthamstow Wetlands.
The installation Studio Hide, in which I've collated a visual, material and a sound archive from my walks was the first time exhibited in May 2016 at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London in Unfolding Realities MA Art and Science Degree Show. I continued to work and analyze my research during a series of performances Ink Waters in Studio Hide.
