Polymerase Chain Reacion

Polymerase chain reaction is used to amplify (increases) the concentration of DNA from a very small sample.

PCR Involves


1. Denaturing the template DNA  (DNA to be amplified), so that two strands of DNA are separated.

2. Annealing the Primers (Short sequences of DNA roughly 10-25 bp complementary sequences) to Template DNA

3. Extension
