About PAT
Physics Aptitude Test (PAT) is mandatory for anyone who aims to study physics and philosophy at University of Oxford. PAT is a two-hour test that assesses the student's ability in physics as well as mathematics. University of Oxford works in partnership with the Cambridge Assessment Admission Testing to administer PAT exam.
You will find a mixture of both maths and physics questions in a PAT exam. To complete these questions, you will be given a time of 2 hours. Remember that tables, data books and formula sheets are prohibited, however, you can always use the specific calculators.
