I need someone to help me analyse some medical research articles that i need to present.

I am a practicing medical doctor and am familiar with the basics of healthcare research for example different types of qualitative and quantitative studies varying from observational to experimental and descriptive to analytic.

Online Economics (Degree) tutor

Posted by Lewis K

Up to: £50 per hour

Hi,

I’m Lewis, 28 and currently in my first year at Birkbeck university studying Economics and Social policy, I’m looking for a tutor for 1-3 hours per week to help me with Economics, statistics and maths (around 60% econ and 40% maths.

The reason I need a tutor is the poor quality of teaching form Birkjbeck and having to learn remotely online is a struggle as I have ADHD, in an ideal world I would be on campus to get the brain stimulation a person with ADHD needs but I’m couped up at home over a MacBook which is less than ideal for me.

I’m a visual learner so I like the use of whiteboards etc and I’m not a fan of watching someone narrate a slideshow via zoom( literally my entire university experience so far) I have questions, and a lot of questions so patience is a must for me as I can can go off topic quite a lot again due to my ADHD, speaking of the ADHD its something I’ve learnt to embrace and use the positives that come with it and I don’t like being pressured into learning what the socially acceptable way off textbooks and endless writing.

Currently I’m on a very introductory part of my degree so its currently simple things such as isocosts, feasible sets and indifference curves on the maths side I’m currently on differentiation, cost functions and standard deviation.

As it currently stands I’ll be able to get 50-60% by myself under the current work from home way but I didn’t start a degree at 28 just to pass my degree and I really want to transfer to Kings College for my second year so getting a high 2:1 or 1st is essential. I’m smart enough for it but ADHD affects my memory and cognitive thinking so I have to work twice as hard.

I would also request that I can record the session so I can rewatch and write up notes in my own time afterwards and on occasions if were studying a specific topic, one or two of my peers may join the session to listen.

I want to start this weekend with several hours 5/6th Dec

It would be great to hear if you can help me and I look forward to hearing from you :)

My name is Livia, I'm 28, and I do have some experience with singing, but I feel like I want a more structured learning, so I've thinking about taking grades. I'm just really into the idea of going through grades 1 to 8! Not sure which one, though, I've heard Trinity is really good, but RSL looks less intimidating.. (((: I'm eager to start as soon as possible!
