What does the programme entail?
The young people involved continue to lead on the design and delivery of the programme. Each young volunteer will tutor a KS3 student from their local community in Maths, English or Science for a minimum of 6 weeks. Additionally, volunteers receive training and a free DBS check from the Foundation as well as regular lesson feedback. Volunteers meet at the end of their experience to inform changes to the programme for future participants.
Why work with young volunteers?
Firstly, this programme empowers young people to effect change in their community. It's a chance to support and encourage the leaders of tomorrow. Secondly, it's a fantastic opportunity for young people to grow and develop ahead of the next step in their career.
You can get involved!
