We work to make volunteering with the Tutorfair Foundation inspiring, rewarding and engaging. It’s about working together to close the attainment gap and supporting less-advantaged young people through their education; building confidence and raising aspirations.
When tutors sign up to volunteer on our programmes, we ask them to commit 10 hours of their time to the cause. However, as we see year in and year out, some volunteers go above and beyond in playing their part. Where we can remove the barriers between them and the work they want to do, some people will choose to make extraordinary contributions to the lives of the young people they work with.
So far, over the course of this academic year, these 10 of volunteers have demonstrated outstanding resilience, determination and commitment. Together, they have delivered 350 hours of free tutoring across the UK - and most of them have committed to continuing their work online whilst the schools are closed.
Each year, we collaborate with schools and other organizations to bring you a range of volunteering opportunities. In the current complex environment, with the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the Tutorfair Foundation has switched tutoring opportunities to online. We’re happy to be underway, but we’re working hard to expand this provision as quickly as we can.
We are actively working with partner schools and other organisations to arrange tutoring for the students who need it most. If you would like to help - either by volunteering or by helping us to raise funds, get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
