About Susan
I am a specialist teacher in Dyslexia (SpLD) with a Post Graduate Diploma in SEN (Dyslexia) and Approved Teacher Status with the British Dyslexia Association. I have experience of teaching in Community High Schools and Private schools in the UK and overseas. I have also privately tutored students of all ages. My most recent post was as a SENCO in an International School in Dubai, UAE where I taught dyslexic students from all over the world and across the spectrum of difficulties from mild to severe.
My lessons are student centred, guided by an individual learning plan that is identified through initial and diagnostic assessment and needs identified through discussion with parents and students.
My lessons are cumulative, multi sensory, student centred and equip students with the skills and strategies they need to access learning independently and continue on to be successful and independent lifelong learners.
